“Watch out that you are not deceived”
Luke 21:5-11
Beloved, are we remarking on beauty and grandeur on outside appearance? I recall a time when someone commented on another person’s shape, being perfect. Paradoxically, the same tongue then dished out a derogatory comment about another woman’s flat chest. Is our love for others based on who pleases us for selfish and personal gain? The insults to another, speak of our own insecurities. Obedience to God is key to accessing all that God has to offer.
Jesus warns about false prophets and advises not to be frightened about wars and disasters. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away. “Olivet Discourse”, which is a series of prophecies made by Jesus about the hardships that people would face before his second coming. Without God at the center of our lives, we will be lost. We have to be with Him and not man, for Him to help us breakthrough our wounds, to heal and to see.
