In Jesus’ Kingdom, actions overturn the tyranny of the status-quo and offer life-giving responses to challenging circumstances.
Today’s gospel dialogue between Pilate and Jesus clarifies the difference between the two kingdoms. We followers of Jesus’ “way” must stand aside from any crowd who support a culture of death. How? By reading the gospel of the day, questioning and reflecting on Jesus’ actions and words in the passage, we discover important lessons about God and the rest of creation. We question Jesus’ words and actions until an answer show us a lesson that speaks of God’s fidelity to all of creation. Then we ask God’s Holy Spirit to show us how to transform our daily action. Why is this important? Accepting the true version of Messiah leads to a holy alliance with life-givers!
