The Catholic News recently organised a one-day retreat, Bearer of Good News 2, for its ambassadors, on Saturday, November 2 at St Benet’s Hall, Top of the Mount, Mt St Benedict.
This was a continuation of engagements from last year with ambassadors, who include persons who sell the papers in the parishes, as well as members of the hospitality team who support this intention.
Over 50 persons attended this interactive, spirit-filled experience led by Fr Robert Christo, who was supported by team members of Catholic Media Services Ltd (Camsel).
Given the peaceful, natural atmosphere of the venue, activities included an outdoor personal self-reflection exercise and treasure hunt. After lunch, four parishes presented very engaging role plays, aimed at reinforcing the importance of promoting readership of The Catholic News.
Kathyrn Tardieu, Camsel’s General Manager, also shared with ambassadors how their support allows Camsel to expand its digital ministry to youths and provide publications for primary school students.
The day ended with each attendee being anointed by Fr Christo and presented with their Bearer of Good News buttons.
