“To what shall I compare the kingdom of God?”
Luke 13:18-21
Tell mih. Mustard seed scattered on the ground, and yeast mix up in flour have anything in common? If you say that the two of them could compare to the kingdom of heaven, you right, because Jesus say so!
Mustard seed small but when it grow, it have potential to provide shelter for birds; and a lil yeast in some flour could feed a army. Small thing! Jesus showing that a simple and small start is okay because eventually it will make a impact.
Sometimes we Trinis like fah-foo-lay and want to wait until we could do things in a big way. But the kingdom shrouded in mystery. Slowly and without fanfare it does grow and come into its own. SERVOL is a good example! Mother Teresa work too!
Lord, remind we that we could start small. A listening ear, a helping hand, a kind deed, a encouraging word, a small group in ministry… all this could build you kingdom. We just have to do we best, and you will take care of the rest.
