Just as He promised

By Daniel Francis

Last weekend, I had the great pleasure of attending a client’s book launch. As you may know, I have a real passion for local authors and their books. It’s why I started my book publishing company and poured so much into the authors in my community. As someone who self-published their books, I don’t want any author to be lost in the wilderness.

A few months ago, Jenna Julien came to me with her book wanting it to be formatted so I accepted the job. Little did I know this would be one of the most intricate formatting jobs I had ever taken up. The level of precision that she wanted for her book was a testament to the hard work and heart she had poured into her book. I was so proud to be a part of the process.

The launch of Changing The Way You Think Can Give You Plenty: Keys to Unlock Uncommon Blessings was nothing less than a spiritual experience. Typically, even when a book has a focus on God and spirituality, you find that the book launch is like any other book launch, but Jenna had other ideas.

Her book launch was a space set up for her audience to truly share in this experience with her and celebrate God and the experiences He has blessed us with.

Through praise and worship and many testimonials of how through adversity God had shown many their true path in life, Jenna was effectively able to tie in the different themes of her book while also celebrating the goodness of God.

Through the formatting of her book, I was able to read her book in its entirety. She does an excellent job of highlighting that we need to have a mindset shift to fully embrace God’s blessings. Her book goes into great detail about how we place expectations on God to make our goals, wants or aspirations come true and if it does not happen, we go into a spiral of negative emotions.

We do not realise that we must shift our mindset and not focus on what we think He has promised us but putting our faith in Him and His process.

We have all been through some adversity where we asked God, “What is the plan here? Why must I suffer so?” We cannot fathom what God has in store for us, but we must have faith. We must adjust our mindset because the tough season we are in may be preparing us for what’s to come.

Through the mindset change, she is encouraging you to find joy and peace amid hardship. When you have shifted the way you process life’s events, you attain a new level of understanding and blessings.

It is truly something when you are called to put out material that can help others grow closer to God, especially through your real experiences. Jenna does an amazing job of doing this through her book and I commend her for having the discipline, strength, and bravery to publish it.

If you are interested in getting a copy of Jenna’s book you can do so at Maranatha bookstore in San Fernando, from Amazon or Kindle. You can also go to her website growwithjenna.com to order from her directly.
