Around 10 a.m. today, Thursday, August 15, an alleged bandit fleeing from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) crashed into a police vehicle at the intersection of Park and Henry Streets. The suspect then took refuge in the nearby Holy Rosary Church, where he sought to evade capture.

While hiding in the sacristy, the suspect put on a priest’s alb to disguise himself. A member of the TTPS, following the suspect, entered the sacristy shortly after and apprehended him.

The police recovered cash and other stolen items.
