The much-anticipated Trinity Telethon 2024 is set to run for an entire week, starting this Sunday, July 14, and culminating Sunday 21. This event is the Trinity Television Network’s main fundraiser, and this year holds special significance as the Living Water Community (LWC) celebrates 50 years of dedicated service under the theme Sharing the Blessing.
The telethon, an annual event, will feature live shows with local entertainment.
The Catholic News team captured some behind-the-scene footage
The first and last Sundays will be completely live, inviting the public to join as a studio audience. Throughout the weekdays, except for Wednesday night’s Living Water Prayer Meeting, the shows will be live from the studio with pre-taped entertainment segments. Wednesday’s prayer meeting, held in the chapel, remains open to all.
The Trinity Telethon stands out as the sole occasion each year when Trinity TV requests support for its non-profit network.
Celebrating milestones and sharing blessings
Last year, the telethon celebrated multiple anniversaries: 30 years since the inception of Trinity Television, 20 years of viewer support through annual telethons, and 10 years since launching its own cable television station, Trinity TV. This year, the focus shifts to honouring the Living Water Community, the foundational pillar behind Trinity TV.
From its early days, Living Water Community has provided spiritual support, financial oversight, administrative guidance, and programming content, nurturing Trinity TV from its infancy to its current stature. Sharing the Blessing highlights the symbiotic relationship between Trinity TV and its parent community.
