10 Problems, 10 Solutions

A collaboration between Fr David Khan, Vicar for the Southern Vicariate, and Parish Priest at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH), and international editor and author Therese Chung-Waldropt has resulted in a unique creation: a book of poems and theological solutions.

Titled 10 Problems, 10 Solutions, the book examines ten everyday problems written as poems by Chung-Waldropt to which Fr Khan provides a solution, each solution founded in God’s love.

The book was launched Tuesday, April 9 at the Bishop Mendes Auditorium with a book signing by both contributors, and entertainment provided by electronic guitarist Dax Cartar.

A school package with a poetry workshop was also available to registered schools designed to help students understand poetry.

“This book is grounded in theology,” said Fr Khan. “It was also necessary to write a book that is not only going to teach children but adults at the very same time, using today’s methodology of pedagogical learning to move it from something abstract to concrete.”

Chung-Waldropt said proceeds from the book will go towards various ministries of the Church.

The book is available at the Daily Bread Book Shop and Café at OLPH.
