Two Thousand Hail Mary Devotion

The Towers of Strength Community is inviting interested persons for this year’s Two Thousand Hail Mary Devotion on Saturday, May 4 at Sacred Heart RC Church, Port of Spain

This devotion has been firmly established in Towers of Strength as one of their many Marian events for the past 15 years.

The 2000 Hail Mary devotion lasts for about 9–10 hours starting around 8 a.m. and ending around 5–6 p.m. To gain full participation of the attendees, many of whom were unable to remain for the entire period, it was felt that the devotions could be divided into two segments and recited during the Marian months of May and October. This initiative was met with great enthusiasm and the Community continued to pray the 1000 Hail Marys during the months of May and October.

The devotion will begin with Holy Mass which will be celebrated at 8 a.m. and will be followed by praying the 1000 Hail Marys at 9 a.m. A prayer request basket will be placed near the altar and members of the congregation will be invited to place their requests in the basket.

In this year of preparation in anticipation of the Jubilee Year 2025, both Pope Francis and Our Blessed Mother are earnestly seeking prayers for a world enmeshed in turmoil, upheaval, and morbid uncertainty.
