Wednesday April 3rd: God is always with me

I pray that I will always be able to recognise Him in my daily life.

Luke 24:13 -35.

I know that God walks with me always, but sometimes I forget. Today’s Gospel is a great reminder that He is always with me, and I am sometimes not aware of that fact. I pray that I will always be able to recognise Him in my daily life.

I must remember to ask God to let me remember His presence when I read the Holy Bible. I will ask that He explains the scriptures to me, just as he did to his fellow travellers on the road to Emmaus.

I have to invite Him to stay with me and and to help me make Him feel wanted in my life.

Dear Lord, let me always recognise you in Holy Communion. Please never disappear from my sight.

I find it easy to pray from this Gospel, however, it always makes me think. Why didn’t His companions recognise Him?
