Saturday March 30th: Rolling Stones

Holy Saturday

“But when they looked, they saw that the stone- which was very big- had already been rolled back.”

Mark 16:1-7

The women in today’s gospel kept wondering, “Who will roll the stone away for us?”
However, they didn’t stay at home wringing their hands, pacing and worrying about the stone. They went anyway. Such an amazing lesson!

So many times, we erect walls of doubt, and remain stagnant in fear and anxiety, worrying about stones that God has already rolled away. Stones we thought were too big for us to handle, God had already removed for us.

When the women reached the tomb, that enormous stone they had been concerned about, had already been dealt with. Sometimes we stay away from Mass and prayer meetings, too focused on our big, big problems.

Come anyway, I urge you. He promises to roll stones of doubt and fear away from our hearts; stones blocking our grace and blessings. Like these women, let’s practice stepping out in faith, and walking toward the glorious miracle of Christ’s Resurrection, in our own lives.

Hallelujah‼️ The stone has been rolled away‼️ He has Risen‼️Amen‼️
