‘Whoever is not with me is against me …’
Luke 11:14-23
Jesus makes it clear that there are no neutral parties. We are either for Jesus or against him, for the kingdom of God or against it. There are two kingdoms in opposition to one another – the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness under the rule of Satan.
The people who criticise Jesus focused on the demons not on the one who sought to banish them. Sometimes we become preoccupied by negative details, by failures, defeats, and disappointments.
Let us ask Jesus to help us during this Lent to realise that he calls us away from any harm that holds us back.
