“In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me.”
Matthew 25:31 – 46
We are called to see the face of Christ in others. During Lent we work on becoming better people by doing away with bad ways. We are also called to grow more intimate with Jesus and be more in union with him. One way of doing so is by treating others as though they were Jesus.
When we seek to discover Jesus in others especially those who seem least Christ-like to us, we encounter Jesus in a new and more intimate way. Let us pray for the grace to see Jesus in the most unlikely.
Lord Jesus, help us to not be exclusive but be inclusive and see you and relate to you in the most difficult of persons. Amen.
