Wednesday January 3rd: God is speaking to us

God continues to talk to us, even today. I pray I have enough faith to recognize His voice and listen to Him.

John 1: 29 – 34

I was at Mass on Christmas morning when a lady came into Mass and sat directly behind me.
I was alerted to her because she had to ask the person sitting at the end of the pew to let her in. (Yes, she was very late).
The gentleman at the lectern, doing the announcements asked if there were any visitors or newcomers.
The lady stood and said she had just come from work, and she heard a voice say: “Cross the road and go into that Church”.
Everything about her seemed sincere. There was no drama. She said her piece and sat down.
John the Baptist in today’s reading, and this security guard both listened to the voice of God and obeyed.
Lord, I pray for discernment and to be attentive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and obedience.
