“…the virgin is with child and will give birth to a son whom they will call Immanuel, a name which means ‘God-is-with-us.”
Matt 1:18-25
As 2023 approaches its end, let us acknowledge a few moments when God was with us.
When our loved ones die or leave us, God is with us
Through injuries, hospital visits and surgeries, God is with us
When our children and loved ones are writing exams, God is with us.
When there are delays, storms and trials, God is with us.
Through accidents, misfortunes and injustice, God is with us.
When we start new ministries, jobs, relationships and projects, God is with us.
When we are at home, work and on the road, God is with us.
When we experience breakthroughs, God is with us.
When we experience peace, God is with us.
When our prayers have not been answered, God is with us
When they are, God is with us.
When we wake, move around, and sleep, God is with us
When we receive the sacraments, God is with us.
When we love, God is with us.
Thank you, God, for being with us this and every year.
