Tuesday November 21st: Trying to see Jesus.

I had a great desire to give back; to get involved with others.                                                                                                    

Luke 19:1-10

When we encounter Jesus, our hearts and souls are transformed; we desire to be like him, begin to act like him. We give back to the poor and vulnerable in our society, not only what is theirs but what rightfully belongs to them and us in common. Through creation God gives all that is in the world for our use in common.

I recall my own call by Fr Michel, to be part of a study group, and my questioning and not feeling worthy/competent; I felt short. But I climbed the tree and went to see. My encounter with the Word really propelled me into a different place of consciousness. That is the result of encounter! I had a great desire to give back; to get involved with others; those on the margins. So, in the 80s and early 90s.we started the community library, having creative vacation camps for children from low-income families, skills training, entrepreneurship for young people and adults. It was a time of salvation.

I thank God for all who have been part of my journey.
