Contrite means “penitent,” humbled by our own sins and failures, seeking after God.
Though history tells one story
Of how many achieved glory…
I ask one question for contemplation.
Who is the Father of all creation?
Black, white, yellow, green, or blue
Isn’t pain a common issue?
None is better than the next.
Could behaviour make us complex?
He causes His sun to rise on the evil
And the good, and sends rain on every sill.
The righteous and the unrighteous…
What does God say about the contentious?
An encounter with Jesus and experience of His love
Propels one to walk in peace and grace from above.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him
who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9
Simple words spoken from our Father.
Our thoughts and actions not possessions take us further.
God is capable of using anyone
And everything for His good in any region.
God says, “When I see a person with a contrite spirit,
I will choose him or her as my friend. I will stay with that person.
I will live with that person. I make my home in that person’s life.”
What are we emulating and working towards friends?
