Santa Rosa Feast Celebrations 2023

The annual Santa Rosa celebrations, being held in collaboration with the Santa Rosa First People’s community, conclude next Sunday with the street procession in the Borough of Arima with the statue of St Rose of Lima.
The novena leading up to the feast day Mass began last Monday, August 14 and will end Tuesday 22. Each evening of the novena began with recitation of the Rosary at 5.40 p.m. followed by the Angelus at 6 p.m., novena, praise and worship and Holy Mass at 6.30 p.m.

Speakers last week were parish priest Fr Steve Duncan (Monday 14), Neil Parsanlal (Tuesday 15), Fr Hygenius Chinedu (Wednesday 16), Fr Trevor Nathasingh (Thursday 17), Br Maurice White (Friday 18) and Fr Andrew Emenike (Saturday 19).

This Sunday the speaker is Fr Jeffrey Supersad. Monday, August 21 it will be the turn of Fr Martin Ezesigwe, and on Tuesday 22, Fr Emenike returns as speaker.
The Feast Day Mass is on Wednesday 23 at 6 a.m. with Fr Emenike as the celebrant.

On Friday, August 25 the park opposite the Santa Rosa RC Church will be lit at 6 p.m. and there will be live entertainment from Parang band Los Alumnos de San Juan, singer John Thomas, Nu Pioneers, the People of Praise and others.
