Suburban Vicariate Vicar’s Cup won by Holy Cross Santa Cruz

The Suburban Vicariate  concluded the  Vicar’s Cup football competition at the Marvin Lee Stadium on Emancipation Day, August 1. Ten teams participated in two groups of five.

In Group A  were Migrant Ministries, St Charles Tunapuna, St Michael’s, San Juan, and St Joseph. In Group B – Holy Cross Santa Cruz, Curepe/Fatima, St John the Baptist St Augustine, Mary Immaculate Queen of the Universe (MIQU) Bourg Mulatresse and Barataria.

At the end of the group stages, Migrant Ministries and Holy Cross Santa Cruz topped their respective groups with eight points each.

Moving on to the quarter finals were St Augustine, San Juan, Migrant Ministries, St Charles Tunapuna, Curepe/Fatima,  MIQU, St Michael’s and Holy Cross.

In the semifinal St Augustine faced St Charles with St Augustine winning 1-0 and Curepe/Fatima competed against Santa Cruz with the latter winning 2-0.

In the final, Holy Cross (in photo) defeated St John the Baptist. Congratulations to the winners and all the teams that participated.
