Financial audit submitted

The Archdiocese of Port of Spain has completed its first financial audit for the year ended December 31, 2019. This is an historical achievement as this has not happened in the over 100 years of the functioning of the Chancery.

Archbishop Charles Jason Gordon led the drive to bring this milestone to a reality. He made the point that this accomplishment took a new level of commitment and teamwork from the Finance Department working very closely with the Properties Department and the parishes to bring this challenge to fruition. The Finance Council and the Chancellor provided the necessary guidance and support along this journey. The next phase is to complete the subsequent years audits, which are already ongoing, and to get the Archdiocese current with its reporting and level of transparency.
