Tuesday May 16th: Has grief filled your heart?

Rest assured, it is amid our deepest grief, that the Advocate will be sent to us.

John 16: 5-11

Grief is real and can be a creeping hazard. By the time its effects manifest into our social, mental, financial, spiritual, and physical health, we would have been experiencing it for a long time. While grief may be a natural response to loss, its bearing is difficult and debilitating.
No one knows why God allows the death of a spouse, parent, child, or pet at the most inopportune time. Nor do we know why God permits the loss of jobs, opportunities or friends when it is most needed.
Sometimes, God allows us to cry certain tears so that we can heal and then, in turn, dry the tears of others. Rest assured, it is amid our deepest grief, that the Advocate will be sent to us. He will touch and soothe our tired, aching, grieving heart. Grief is that special time where our lives are filled with grace and through which the Advocate does his greatest, transformative work.
Prayer: O Jesus, this Pentecost, please send the Advocate to transform all the grief that has been holding me back and use it all for your glory.
