Thursday May 11th: Deep and Lasting Joy

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you…I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

John 15:9-11

This passage is a powerful reminder of the depth of God’s love for us and the importance of remaining in that love. When we abide in God’s love, we experience a deep sense of joy that fills us completely.
The world often tells us that happiness comes from achieving success, accumulating wealth, or pursuing our own desires. But Jesus teaches us that true joy comes from abiding in his love. This joy is not dependent on our circumstances or external factors but is instead a result of our relationship with him.
As we go about our daily lives, let us remember to remain in God’s love. Let us allow His joy to fill us and overflow into the world around us. And let us share the good news of His love and joy with those around us, so that they too may experience the deep and lasting joy that comes from abiding in Christ.
