None of us, can expect a trouble-free life, but Jesus invites us to trust in Him…
John 14: 1-12
This Gospel passage is one of my favourites. The potential for peace it provokes for a believer in Christ is substantial as we see Jesus console His disciples, by reminding them – “do not let your hearts be troubled”. Nevertheless, in these times of turmoil and high crime, it is difficult to believe that we and our loved ones are safe.
Nevertheless, calming our hearts requires a shift in the perception of the mind. We are invited to see our hardships and challenges as opportunities to draw closer to God through Jesus Christ. None of us, can expect a trouble-free life, but Jesus invites us to trust in Him, to believe that His miraculous mercies can transform any situation. He reaffirms His Divine power as the Son of God, as not only reassurance to His disciples, but to each of us as His children 2000 years later.
May the Blood of Christ cover and protect you. Amen
