You know a Trini could real bamboozle yuh with words, right? One day I hear a man say, ” Girl you is the dhal in meh dhalpourie ….. without you I is Sada”. Today’s gospel says, “Doh do God that!” It eh have no reason to do him that, because he know where you coming from long time.
I had to reconcile the fact that all those years of begging God with sweet talk like “God if you help me get out of this one……. I will stop putting a dollar in the collection basket and join back the choir!” was unnecessary. God did not have time with me and my mamaguy. Yet he still come through for me.
Today’s gospel encourages us to cry out to God earnestly, to be genuine in our relationship with God and each other and to recognize that forgiving others is one of the best ways to connect with him.
