“Do not imagine that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete them.”
Matthew 5:17-37
Not one stroke of the pen will be watered-down. Every word of the law will be contemplated and understood as to its meaning for our time and our situation. The role of the prophets today is no less relevant as the prophets of old.
We retain the deep traces, the watermark of the prophet Isaiah on our souls. No less, we carefully interpret the inspiration of John the Baptist and St Paul as we scream the prophetic message, if not by word, certainly by example. The bards are singing in the streets as we approach the time of our annual spiritual and cultural awakening. Now we put away our venomous anger and practice how to respect each other, especially our sister and our children. Sifting out what in our thoughts and behaviour will turn out in the long run to be disrespectful.
Everything is to be accomplished today. Test out your prophetic voice! As you step out in your iron shirt, send the crisp message that everything man has created with God’s spirit must be celebrated.
