Friday February 3rd: Jesus – A cause for joy and hope

Eight children were happy to receive Jesus for the first time, on the Solemnity of Christ the King (Sunday, November 20, 2022) at Holy Cross Chapel. They began church ministry on that same day.
Two sisters, Sahara and Aria did the First Reading and the Responsorial Psalm, and Ché Look Loy did the Second Reading and Gospel Acclamation. Four children took the collection – Sydney, Blake, Caelum, and Ché, as Ixia was supposed to assist, but she fell ill. However, on the Second Sunday, she begged to help. Adio took up the collection basket to Fr Ferdinand Warner OP. In photo, the first communicants with their teachers, Aunty Denyse (left) and Aunty Debbie.
