Monday December 12th: The Lord will fulfill his promises

“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

Luke 1: 39-47

All my life you have been faithful, all my life you have been so so good.”  I keep singing  that song,  because it’s genuinely how I feel about Jesus.

In the midst of my anxiety, when  things do not go my way or  when I suffer great tragedy, then I forget.  Then I ask Jesus to prove himself again and again.  And every single time he comes up trumps.

The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe is also celebrated today and when I think of the Blessed Mother I think of another way I am lacking in  faith. Although I do believe that Jesus has entrusted us to his mother’s care, sometimes I waver in trusting her and seeking her intercession and help because many do not understand.

Faith goes beyond understanding  and Jesus is the faithful one.  Let us emulate Our Blessed Mother. As  the scripture says, ” Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises”
