Pregnancy centre gifted with baby items

BELIZE

In mid-August, the Seed of Life Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) at #9 Guadalupe Street, Belize City was gifted with a donation of “a beautiful, much needed” changing table for babies and five large boxes of assorted baby items including pampers and wipes as well as six large boxes of breast pads.

The donation came through the kindness of Food for the Poor, an interdenominational Christian organisation, and the Diocese of Belize City and Belmopan, with The Christian Herald Editor, Ruben Wong, and staff, spearheading. “We are very grateful,” Seed of Life told the diocesan monthly publication.

The Seed of Life sees on an average about 70 mothers for the month. They assist during the months of pregnancy and one year after delivery. Mothers access, free of charge, baby and maternity clothes and baby items including pampers and wipes and they are outfitted with layettes for hospital confinement.

The article said that mothers earn as they learn through the Centers’ daily ‘Bridges to Motherhood’ programmes which focus on a wide selection of prenatal and post-natal training as well as breastfeeding and prayer. The Center exists solely on donations.
