‘Women of God’ meet for fun, games, fellowship

Although Covid-19 has been blamed for putting on hold almost everything, including numerous Church events and ministries worldwide, the ‘Women of God,’ women’s ministry of St Francis of Assisi RC Church, Sangre Grande was not one of them.
They met online fortnightly and engaged in a full spectrum of activities from deep discussions to casual check-ins to see how everyone was coping with the pandemic.

After the two-year hiatus of the pandemic, on the evening of Sunday, July 10, some members of the women’s ministry accepted the invitation to gather for a time of fun, fellowship, and relaxation.
From the radiant smiles greeting you as you entered the doors to the mouth-watering aroma of food, you were bound to have an amazing time. With all Covid-19 protocols observed, delectable finger foods and dessert were served by a few of our gorgeous and dynamic female young adults.

Did someone say games? It was truly heart-warming to see everyone’s inner child unleashed when playing games such as cards, Uno, and Snakes and Ladders.
There were also special door prizes that kept everyone on the edge of their seats hoping to hear their number being called. Everyone still left feeling like a winner as there were additional gift items for everyone.
Adding to the ambiance of the place was melodious background music that I am pretty sure almost caused a dance floor to break out.

To sum it all up, some pictures were taken but unfortunately, they cannot fully capture the entire experience and stories that were made and shared that night. You just had to be there to share in the fun and excitement, but don’t worry there will always be next time. —Kerlyssa de Verteuil
