“The kingdom of God is like a man who sows good seed in his field.”
Matt 13: 24-30
Jesus is saying to the children of the kingdom: Beware, good and evil thrive together!
“The kingdom of God is like a man who sows good seed in his field”.
The kingdom of God is in you. In you is the wheat and the darnel; the enemy comes and sows and can carry off what is sown in your heart.
In our heart both sin and grace, wheat and darnel thrive. Jesus is also asking that we be patient as we struggle with our sin while we hear His call in our lives.
In our heart goodness and sin lie side by side. Temptation is always with you, and goodness is also in you, but you have to overcome the enemy in you.
Kingdom values are planted in you, and that is more powerful than the darnel in you.
Jesus plants his word in you. Allow it to grow to overcome the weed in your heart, so that at harvest time you will be gathered into the barn.
