The Corpus Christi procession returns in 2022 after two years, albeit on a smaller scale compared to previous years.
In 2020, the easing of restrictions in June allowed places of worship to open and Catholics could receive the Body of Christ at the carpark of churches after viewing the Mass on television, online or listening to the radio broadcast.
This year, the Corpus Christi Mass Thursday June 16 takes place at 8.30 a.m. The chief celebrant is Vicar General Fr Martin Sirju. Archbishop Gordon will be out of the country.

The route for the procession after Mass is as follows: from the Cathedral turning left on to Independence Square south and then right, heading west. The procession turns north on to Henry Street, then right onto Park Street proceeding east towards Piccadilly Street. From here the procession moves onto Duke Street then south on Nelson Street; from here it continues west towards the Cathedral. Benediction will take place at the carpark. The readings for the Corpus Christi Mass will be available in the June 19 issue.
