The Blessed Mother
Mary, the new Eve stood at the foot of the cross sharing in the redemptive suffering of Jesus our Redeemer.
John 19:25-34
“Who is this that looks forth like the dawn, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army with banners?” (Song of Solomon 6:10) This verse of Scripture very aptly applies to our Mother Mary.
It is fitting that the feast of the Blessed Virgin is celebrated after Pentecost.
Mary, the new Eve stood at the foot of the cross sharing in the redemptive suffering of Jesus, our Redeemer making her Co-Redemptrix because God willed it to be so.
Humanity behold your Mother! whom the Blessed Trinity chose to intercede as a bloodless martyr united intimately with Her Son, Our Saviour, The Mediator and restorer of all grace, thus, making her Mediatrix of all graces because God willed it to be so.
Mary was present at Pentecost – the birth of the Church clothed with Power from on High by the Holy Spirit-The Advocate. She is our advocate in this vale of tears because God willed it to be so.
O Mary, Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix of all graces and Advocate; pray for us. Amen.
