How do you feel when you listen to the voice of creation?

Have you been moved by the sights and sounds of the Earth? The poor? Your inspiration can be a project for the Franciscan Institute for Personal and Family Development 2022 Season of Creation Challenge.

The theme is Listen to the Voice of Creation. The image for this theme is the burning bush (Ex 3:1–12).

Participants are invited to share the impact of nature on them— joy or contrition.

Annalisa Ramsahai, the Regional Programme Coordinator for the Franciscan Institute for Personal and Family Development explained, “How does it make you feel after you have listened to the voice of Creation.”

Does it make you feel to ask God for forgiveness for all the harm we have caused His Creation through pollution and war? Or after your reflection, do you feel grateful and joyful for God’s love and mercy for creating all these beautiful things we have on this Earth?

The first step of the challenge is to capture sound or sights (see or hear); reflect on the experience and its effect on you; share your experience by creating a presentation.

The second step is to present the experience in one of the following: song, art, skit, eco project.

Participants are to submit presentations, script, and waiver form via email to submitfi@gmail.com The Challenge began May 1 and has a deadline of July 25 at 9 p.m. (AST)

The preparation period for the competition has been moved up because of the increase in entries and the judges requiring more time to review submissions from Trinidad and Tobago, St Lucia, and Grenada.

Ramsahai said, “participants work will be showcased during the actual Season of Creation month from September 1 to October 4”.”

Winners will be celebrated at the 5th annual regional St Francis Canticle Creation Award Ceremony on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
