Tuesday May 10th: Tell us plainly if you are the Christ

“The sheep that belong to me listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me.”

John 10: 22-30

The essence of Christianity is the true joy that we experience when we have found the way to be in continuous communion with Jesus Christ, our Divine Shepherd and Guide.
We listen to His voice and He knows all our needs. “The Lord is my Shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.” (Ps. 23). We live in the Lord’s presence with a quiet confidence, knowing that, as we follow him, He will guide us into the way of Peace – a Peace that the ‘world’ cannot understand.
There are times, of course, when we will veer off the track and fall into various cracks and crevices and may even walk through the valley of the shadow of sickness or death. Regardless of the circumstances, Jesus is always there with His Shepherd’s crook and staff, waiting to pull us out of the danger, because He is the Christ, Son of the Living God. He and the Father are one.
Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for knowing and loving us.
