Archdiocese joins Pope to consecrate Russia and Ukraine to Mary

Pope to consecrate Russia, Ukraine to Mary’s Immaculate Heart

Pope Francis has invited the bishops of the whole world, along with their priests, to join him in the prayer for peace and in the consecration and entrustment of Russia and of Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Pope will offer the prayer 5 p.m. (Rome time), Friday, March 25 – the Solemnity of the Annunciation – at St Peter’s Basilica, Rome, on the occasion of the Celebration of Penance.

Archbishop Jason Gordon will also pronounce the act of consecration during a Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Port of Spain at 12 p.m. which is the same time the Holy Father will be celebrating in Rome.

Priests of the Archdiocese are encouraged to participate at this Mass or at their parishes at the same time (noon).

The Mass is expected to be live-streamed via Trinity TVplatforms and @catholictt on Facebook
