” Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it”
Mark 10:13-16
The kingdom is a gift given to us out of God’s love for us. God the father rules over this kingdom and in order that we receive this gift we must surrender our doing to God. Like children, we acknowledge that we are dependent on Him, we are helpless. In spite of all our doing, we need Him.
Lord, help us to take on childlike trust and faith in you. That in spite of all that we do, you are still God and in charge. Help us to stay still and surrender all to you, knowing that in our weakness and helplessness you will sustain and preserve us. Amen
