I thank God for sending my prayer partners.

Mark 6:7-13

I love company. It is so much easier for me to do something when I have company. Today’s Gospel tells us that Jesus sent out the apostles two by two to do good works. This makes complete sense to me. I remember every afternoon going to walk with a friend from high school; one hour Monday to Friday. That was the only time I ever exercised regularly.
I recently committed to pray Morning and Evening Prayer (from The Hours or Prayer of The Church). Morning Prayer was easy, I woke up and I prayed BUT Evening Prayer was almost impossible; something always got in the way. One day I decided to ask a friend to pray with me and thank God she said yes. Word spread in our little group and now five of us are in a group to say Evening prayer.
I thank God for sending my prayer partners.
