Why put the Master to any further trouble

Mark 5:21-43

Resonating with me today is the line “Why put the Master to any further trouble”. I often find myself feeling like this. My issues and concerns are so insignificant in the grand scheme of what is going on in the world. Maybe it will work itself out over time, I don’t need to bother God with it.

The hemorrhaging woman, possibly also feeling insignificant, living with this issue for so long, not wanting to bother Jesus directly, just touch his clothes.

Despite the large crowds pressing all around, Jesus notices. Though He could have left it, quiet just the two of them knowing. He singled her out to show her significance in His story and a lesson to us all “Your faith has restored you to health.” Not just physically but also emotionally, which is so important in today’s world.

I pray today for an increase in faith to discover a sense of indestructible worth through Jesus’ profound and personal love.
