Sunday December 26th: In my Father’s house

Do not miss the opportunity to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying through your child.

Luke 2:41-52

Did you not know? How come you did not know that I must be in my Father’s house? Admittedly I didn’t say, but was it not clear that I was responding to a greater calling. Of course, I had no intention of being disrespectful of parental authority but is it not also a responsibility of parents to decipher the underpinnings of a deeper calling that their child is responding to. Parents, take heed, do not miss the opportunity to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying through your child.
There is an unspoken language of the Holy Spirit that pervades the atmosphere and it would do us well to pause and go inside and listen to it. It requires a deepening of listening, or a holy listening. It could be interpreted as a listening of deep love. You cannot listen to someone you don’t love; you will hear the rambling echo of your own mind. The body perceives the great vibration when it is present, otherwise a great anxiety befalls us.
