“The Kingdom of God is among you”
Luke 17:20-25
While driving down the road, I laughed and said, “You really like me, don’t you?” He looked at me stunned and said, “No, I love you! You are always taking care of me, going the distance for me. I am so happy you are in my life, you are the best thing that ever happened to me!”
One week later he died. The most profound moment happened while driving down the main road and it lasted less than two minutes.
When Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is among you”. He was probably warning us that we could miss those little important moments.
Take a minute to remember those magical moments, a time in our lives when we genuinely gave or received love, kindness, gentleness, compassion, generosity or empathy. Those were the moments when we glimpsed the kingdom amongst us. But many times, we do not know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
