Appointment at the CREDI

Jacqueline Francois has been appointed Executive Chairman of the Catholic Religious Education Development Institute (CREDI), effective October 12. For the next three years, she will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of CREDI and chair its Board of Directors.

She attended Holy Name Convent (1971–76) then pursued a BA in Computer Science at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, graduating in 1982. Francois completed her Master’s in Business Administration (Executive) at The University of the West Indies.

Francois has been involved at the St Finbar’s Parish, volunteering in the faith formation of Confirmation candidates, and serving as Catechetical Coordinator on the parish’s Ministry Animation Team (2018 – 2021).

At the archdiocesan level, in 2014 she was invited to be part of the Year of Mercy Planning and Implementation Project Team led by then Fr Clyde Harvey.

Francois is the former Chair of Oscar Francois Limited, and Managing Director of Intersol Limited, and has served on a number of boards and committees including the National AIDS Coordinating Committee for eight years; the National Mental Health Committee for 12 years; the Drug Advisory Committee for nine years; and the Board of Directors of the T&T Chamber of Industry & Commerce (2000–2005, 2016–2019).

She currently serves as a non-executive Director on the Board of Guardian Group Trust Limited, which she joined in 2019.
