Pandemic Relief Food Drive in Tobago

The Tobago Vicariate has been assisting persons affected by Covid-19 mainly with food support since April 2020 under the umbrella of the Pandemic Relief Food Drive, an initiative of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain.

In Tobago West, the St Joseph RC Church, Scarborough, serves the following areas: Scarborough, Lambeau, Bon Accord, Crown Point, Plymouth, Lowlands, French Field, Bagatelle, and Bacolet.

Our Lady of Lourdes, Patience Hill, serves Signal Hill, Riseland, Orange Hill, Carnbee, and Bethel, while St Anthony, Mason Hall serves Moriah, Castara, Parlatuvier, Les Coteaux, Calder Hall, Arnos Vale, Runnemede, Bloody Bay, L’ Anse Fourmi, and Golden Lane.

In Tobago East, the Sacred Heart Parish has assisted in serving mainly areas from Goodwood to Charlotteville, with its major service point being the Sacred Heart Church community, Delaford.

In addition, food has been distributed to the migrants in Tobago who are mainly comprised of Venezuelans, Jamaicans, Guyanese, and Nigerians.

There was a total of seven distribution events completed in Tobago. The following table indicates the number of hampers received from the Archdiocese, and distributed throughout Tobago in 2020:
