I’m currently a Year 2 student at The University of the West Indies (UWI), pursuing a BSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice. This year, I plan to be more organised when it comes to preparing for assignments and exams. Last year, I procrastinated a lot and while I still produced the grades I wanted, I was a lot more stressed and panicked when it came down to completing assignments right before the deadline. So this semester, I plan to get an early start on everything I possibly can.

For the upcoming academic year (Undergraduate at UWI, Mona), I am planning to revisit and review the information I will learn, more frequently, to avoid the factor that affects most students i.e stress, which can lead to deterioration in other areas of my life, for example, my mental, physical and emotional well-being.

I’m currently a Year 1 student at George Brown College, Toronto. I plan to make sure I am ahead of my new college classes, by submitting any work or assignments earlier than the expected due date. I will also continue to grow my relationship and closeness with God.

In my last academic year (I’m a student at the University of Trinidad and Tobago), I would say it was very hectic and draining for me. I had both the second and summer semester and the workload really took a toll on my mental health. The changes I would make therefore for this new academic year would be to create a schedule with all my courses and the upcoming assignments that need to be done that I can follow. By doing this, it will bring order and stability as I can get a head start with the assignments instead of waiting last minute to them as I did for my last academic year.
