Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.
Matthew 18:21 – 19:1
Last week I had the worst customer service experience ever! I say, “Nobody cyar talk to me so! They mad oh what? Them know who I is? Nah! Them doh know me! They messing with the wrong woman today! I will show them!”
So I asked to see the manager, but as I walked into the manager’s office I asked myself, “Why I couldn’t forgive this one transgression when God has forgiven me so many times?”
I thought of my own sins and how many times, no matter how bad I strayed, God called me back and gave me a big hug and forgave me. Dr. David Jeremiah in this book Prayer, a great adventure says, “Jesus says that those who live by God’s forgiveness must imitate it. A person whose only hope is that God will not hold his faults against him forfeits his right to hold others’ faults against them”
So today, I pray that we all learn to forgive each other and recognize the great blessings that exist in forgiveness.
