The people wanted the security of the miraculous feeding. Jesus says look for the gift of my coming down from heaven to set you free, the values of living in the present moment where there is caring, loving, joy, respect, etc.
Remember the day you were taking your ten year old daughter to lessons. It was starting in ten minutes and you had to drive six miles to get there. You were in panic mode, going crazy. Traffic was at a snail’s pace, You kept asking yourself, “Is there some short cut I can take?”
Then your daughter says to you, “Daddy, look at those trees! Aren’t they a lovely shade of green, Daddy are you missing them?” She was living in the present moment, enjoying it and excited about what she saw. The father was all over the place and not grounded in the present. Are you in the present?
