Treat others as you want to be treated.
Matthew 7:6.12-14
Today’s world moves at a fast pace and as we go we lose our care and love for one another.
We have become a people seeking only what we want, what we think we need, our selfish desires.
Jesus is instructing his disciples to treat others as they would like to be treated. “Do unto others as you want them to do to you”.
This is not always so simple. Daily we hurry pursuing our desires, ignoring others, criticized, sometimes not liked by others; angered by others because of their demands.
Jesus is asking us for a counter cultural way to treat those who ill-treat us. He is asking us to treat others as we want to be treated. He is asking us to take a minute and reach out, especially where death is before us all the time.
The Lord is asking us to listen, care, spend time with each other, time is short. Bring balance in this crazy hostile world. Change our environment. Share God’s Love.
