Teams of Our Lady offers ‘The Marriage Course’

Couples are invited to participate in ‘The Marriage Course’ (TMC) as a virtual weekend retreat organised by Teams of Our Lady (TOOL). Efforts have been fuelled to promote this programme to all married couples in collaboration with the Archdiocesan Family Life Commission.

The current 7 p.m. weekend curfew has created an opportunity for couples to take advantage of participating in this free, virtual course for the next seven Saturdays, 7.30–9.30 p.m. from June 19 to July 31.

‘The Marriage Course’ by Nicky & Sila Lee, has received excellent reviews. The course gives hope and encouragement as well as practical tools for a married couple from any background or faith community. The goal is to strengthen or restore a couple’s connection for a healthy marriage.

There are seven video sessions, each two hours in duration with breaks within the session to address questions in your workbooks individually and as a couple.

In your own home, you are encouraged to set up like a date night, with a meal or refreshment. This special atmosphere creates a feeling of safety and helps you as a couple to open up to each other and have those important, honest, and intimate conversations. For privacy, your video camera and microphone can be off for this programme.

Couples participate in TMC for a variety of reasons knowing that their conversations and workbooks are private. Given that there is no group work, many couples are encouraged to attend who, otherwise, would not consider it.

To register, send an email to caribbean.tool@gmail.com with your name, contact number and parish to participate via Zoom link, and to obtain the pdf workbook to print. —Peter and Linda Kowlessar, Regional Couple, Teams of Our Lady.
