Thursday June 3rd: Praying for obedience

I pray I can be as obedient as the disciples.

Mark 14:12-16, 22-26

I pray that I can be as obedient as the disciples in today’s Gospel.
I would be still questioning Jesus about how I would be able to identify the man he wanted me to follow.
I would want to know if the man had on distinctive clothing or the colour of the pitcher. I would be a pest, until Jesus gave me the name of the man.
I pray for discernment and obedience. I pray for a good memory above all.
I pray I will always remember this single act of obedience played a major part in the institution of the Eucharist.
I shudder to think, what would have happened if I were one of those disciples.
I pray for obedience, not only to God’s word, but at this time, to the COVID-19 regulations as well.
