As soon as Jesus saw the crowd he became concerned about their hunger.
John 6: 1 – 15.
There were two sets of people on the mountain with Jesus that day: the disciples and those in need of something. The disciples were not hungry because they had Jesus. But the crowd was hungry because they did not have Jesus.
As soon as Jesus saw the crowd he became concerned about their hunger. It says we cannot hide our hunger from him. Whether we hunger for physical food, healing, forgiveness, acceptance or a better quality of life, Jesus knows it and addresses it.
Though the crowd was huge, it did not matter to Jesus. He has a way of reaching out to everyone. No one ought to feel ignored by the Lord. No one ought to think the Lord does not care. No one ought to feel they are lost in the crowd to the Lord.
The one person who stood out in the crowd was a little boy with his five loaves and two fish. Though small he made a difference.
