Thursday April 15th: Sent from above

“The one who comes from heaven is above all.”

John 3:31-36

Jesus could not have said it plainer and yet they didn’t seem to understand. He is saying it to us as well and yet we too are still not getting it at times.

It is quite simple… I am not just a great prophet, I am the Son of God, the Messiah, the King of Kings, and my kingdom is not of this world. I am above all who came before and those that will come after me; because I came from Heaven.

His mission was a heavenly one, passed on to His disciples and to us, to bring people back to God. We read His Word, and we experience His actions in the everyday miracles that occur in our lives; yet we do not know who He is.

When will we recognize Him for who He really is? When will we put Him above everyone and everything? What is it going to take for us to believe in Him and to acknowledge Him as our Lord and our God.
